Most of the supporters of the ban are newcomers who have a high opinion of themselves now that theyRead More have "arrived" as beachfront property owners. The beach towns have suffered over the years from these social climbers who have no respect for the traditions of beach living or for the established beach community in general. Some of the elitist city councilmen fall with that category, that is why they will push through their agenda no matter how unpopular it is with the local citizens. They don't believe in democracy. All you commoners can forget about singing around the fire with your family and friends!

Our anchesters discovered how to start a fire...once they did they sat around fires cooking mealsRead More and keeping warm. If the firepits affect health I'm surprized any of them made it through. In Newport Beach there are 60 fire rings. How many house have fireplaces and outside wood burning fire pits? We do. Thousands...millions. This is a silly argument and I'm thinking it really doesn't have much to do with fire pits.
