Two Neighboring Businesses Report Similar Break-Ins

Police reports from around Fountain Valley.

A $400 unsecured bicycle was reported stolen from a residential driveway, Jan. 25 at 12:20 p.m. No witnesses were found.

Identity theft was reported from Point Sur Street, Jan. 24 at 1:17 p.m. The victim received notification from EBay of an outstanding balance of $70.65 under a closed account under his name. However, the victim claimed to never have used the online website. The victim does not know how the suspect(s) obtained his personal information.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Mount Shelly Circle, Jan. 24 at 7:41 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle parked on a residential drive way and removed $1,650 worth of property before fleeing undetected.

Two neighboring businesses reported a break-in on Warner Avenue near Bushard Street, Jan. 25. At 2:41 a.m., Subway reported that the unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the business by smashing a front window, causing $500 worth of damages but no property loss. At 2:43 a.m., Toxic Boardshop reported that the unknown suspect(s) also entered the business by smashing a front window, taking $1,660 worth of property and causing $500 worth of damages before fleeing undetected.

Theft from a vehicle was reported near a business center on Ward Street near Ellis Avenue, Jan. 23 at 7:13 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the rear left window and removed $250 worth of property from the backseat of the vehicle before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $200.

Residential burglary was reported from Mayflower Circle, Jan. 23 at 1:52 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the backyard and removed $9,690 worth of property from a shed before fleeing undetected.

Two thefts from vehicles were reported from Loya River Avenue, Jan. 23. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and removed $300 worth of property, while gaining entry into a second vehicle by smashing the driver's side rear window and removed $1,500 worth of property before fleeing undetected. Damage from the second incident was estimated at $200.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from San Leon Avenue, Jan. 22 at 8:49 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the front passenger window and took a purse front the front passenger seat before fleeing undetected. Property loss was estimated at $150 and damage was estimated at $200.

Residential burglary was reported on Los Amigos Circle, Jan. 22 at 1:28 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used a tool to pry open a living room sliding door, ransacked the home and fled with $2,370 worth of electronics. Damage was estimated at $100.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Santa Eugenia Street, Jan. 20 at 9:23 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the right rear passenger window and fled undetected with $75 worth of clothes and a book bag. Damage was estimated at $300.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Mount Hoffman Circle, Jan. 19 at 7:13 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the unlocked vehicle and fled undetected with two pairs of glasses, an estimated worth of $300. 

Residential burglary was reported from La Esperanza Avenue, Jan. 18 at 3:42 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) climbed a wall to the backyard and used an unknown tool to pry open the garage door to gain access inside the residence. After ransacking the home, the suspect(s) took cash, clothing and electronics before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $200.
