Here's what's happening in and around Fountain Valley today: 

1- Small business seminar. The U.S. Small Business Administration and the Asian American Business Women Association will present a Small Business Loan Fair. Small businesses owners will learn "How to Establish/Improve/Maintain Your Credit Score.'' 2- Dine out for a cause. Costa Mesa Restaurant Week will begin with a party at Noguchi Garden (3200 Park Center Drive), catered by Mastro's Steakhouse, Charlie Palmer at Bloomingdale's South Coast Plaza and Pizzeria Ortica. Proceeds will benefit the Someone Cares Soup Kitchen. Contact: Kim Glen, (714) 786-8585.

3- CSI: Orange County... Take a tour of the Orange County Crime Lab, via the camera lens of Patch reporter Adam Townsend. 

4- Patch wins, again. Patch is still a young player in the media game, but came away with some awards from the Orange County Press Club last month. A familiar face was among those who brought home some hardware.

5- Fab Four at the Art Festival... It’s Beatles Day at the Sawdust Art and Craft Festival on Laguna Canyon Road. Beginning at 10 a.m., guests can enjoy 1960s-themed art activities and classes, as Beatles cover bands.
