Chef Zov Hosts Annual Culinary Concert with Star of ABC's 'The Chew'!

Following in the footsteps of Julia Child, Emeril Lagasse, Anne Burrell and Michael Symon, nationally known chef, cookbook author and TV personality Carla Hall will join OC Chef Zov Karamardian for her annual culinary concert benefiting the James Beard Foundation. The public is invited to join the star of ABC’s “the Chew” as she and Zov conduct a cooking class followed by a lavish lunch on Sunday, February 9 at noon at Zov’s Bistro in Tustin (17440 East 17th Street). Calling it the “ideal holiday gift for the foodie in your life,” tickets for the concert are $250 per person and reservations may be made by calling (714) 838-8855 ext. 21.

Hall became a national figure after her appearances on Bravo’s “Top Chef” during which she won over audiences with her catch phrase, “Hootie Hoo.” That exposure led to being cast alongside fellow chefs Mario Batali and Michael Symon, entertaining expert Clinton Kelly and health and wellness enthusiast Daphne Oz on “The Chew.” She is the owner of Carla Hall Petite Cookies, an artisan cookie company that specializes in creating sweet and savory “petite bites of love.” Her approach to cooking blends her classic French training and Southern upbringing for a twist on traditional favorites. She completed her culinary training at L’Academie de Cuisine in Maryland after graduating from Howard University. She served as executive chef at both The State Plaza Hotel and The Washington Club and has taught cooking classes at CulinAerie and her alma mater, L’Academie de Cuisine.

Since opening her first restaurant in 1987, Zov has become one of the best-loved chefs in Southern California. She owns and operates restaurants in Tustin, Newport Beach, Irvine and 2 at John Wayne Airport. In addition she authored 2 best-selling cookbooks, “Simply Zov” and “Zov: Recipes and Memories From the Heart,” which sold 50,000 copies.
