Photos: Annual Fishing Derby at Mile Square Regional Park

Hundreds of children and their families enjoyed good fishing weather Saturday at Mile Square Regional Park in an attempt to win prizes for the largest fish.

The North lake at Mile Square Regional Park was stocked with 1,600 pounds of trout, to the delight of children ages 15 and under competing in Saturday's Fishing Derby.

Fishing clinics were held at the free annual event, hosted by Fish Talk Radio's Phil Friedman, and competition in three age groups of children were held, with prizes for the largest catch of the day.

Those attending the event also enjoyed a complimentary lunch, courtesy of O.C. Parks.
