Effective April 1, the Huntington Beach post office at 6771 Warner Ave. will reduce its hours, officials said.
The branch is one of seven Orange County postal outlets scaling back hours to save money, according to a U.S. Postal Service press release.
The Huntington Beach office's new hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.
The other post offices cutting hours are in Irvine, Laguna Hills, Costa Mesa, Lake Forest and Orange.
The locations were chosen "after careful analysis of customer traffic patterns and transaction history," the USPS said.
All of the affected branches have automated kiosks available 24 hours a day to purchase stamps, weigh mail and ship packages, officials noted.
In addition, usps.com enables customers to buy stamps, print shipping labels and download postage, schedule a free package pickup, change their address when they move, look up ZIP codes and hold mail when they are away.
