Kids are invited to Mile Square Regional Park this weekend as the North Lake will be stocked with 1,500 pounds of trout.
The annual Kids’ Fishing Derby at the North Lake at Mile Square Regional Park will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Kids ages 15 and under fish for free at the Fishing Derby and can compete to win multiple prizes for finalists and champions in different age groups.
Fishing clinics will be hosted throughout the event.
Registration is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. with the Derby starting promptly at 9 a.m. A limited quantity of fishing rods will be available for loan. A complimentary barbecue lunch will be served to all who attend.
Mile Square Regional Park is located at 16801 Euclid in Fountain Valley.
