'Tip-A-Cop' Brings In $11,000 for Special Olympics

Fountain Valley police officers and firefighters wait tables to raise money for the Orange County Special Olympics.

Police officers and firefighters in Fountain Valley dedicate their lives to protecting the community, but last week they went beyond the typical call to serve.

Police and firefighters spent a few hours on Thursday, May 2 serving food to customers at the Claim Jumper Restaurant on Brookhurst Street. According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, the Tip-A-Cop Event raised $11,000 for the athletes of the Orange County Special Olympics.
