Tree Lighting to End with Fireworks

Fountain Valley's annual holiday event will be held Saturday, Dec.1, and will feature live entertainment, food and photos with Santa.

Fountain Valley’s mayor will light the city’s holiday tree Saturday, Dec. 1, but Santa will most likely be a bigger draw.

The annual event will also feature live entertainment, crafts, games and pictures with Santa for $5. Local organizations will offer food for sale.

The event, from 4:30-8 p.m. at the Fountain Valley Recreation Center and Sports Park, culminates with a fireworks show.

The center is at 16400 Brookhurst St.

Is there a reason why FV doesn't save the fireworks show for 4th of July?
