Concerts in the Park Kicks Off Tonight
The city's annual summer concert series starts with classic rock band The Answer.
The city of Fountain Valley's annual Concerts in the Park series will kick off tonight at the with classic rock band The Answer.
The band's playlist includes songs by the Doors and Bob Seger, but also includes some funk and soul classics as well as quirky party standards.
The band features Van Mosely on lead vocals and bass guitar. Mosely formed the band in 1965 with Jim Searing, who plays guitar and keyboards. Dave Slater, who chairs the Los Osos High School music department as his day job, is on lead guitar, and Kevin Brown is on drums.

The concert will start at 6 p.m., and is free to the public, with plenty of food vendors on hand. The concerts will continue every Thursday in July, with the Silverados on July 12, U2 tribute band Joshua Tree on July 19, and Tina Turner tribute act Proud Mary on July 26.
