Concerts in the Park Lineup Announced

The Fountain Valley Recreation and Community Services department has announced the lineup for its Concerts in the Park Summer concert series, which will be held every Thursday in July at the Recreation Center and Sports Park.

The series will kick off July 5 with The Answer, a classic rock cover band whose playlist includes songs by The Doors and Bob Seger, but which also includes some funk and soul classics as well as quirky party standards.

The Silverados will bring their country and classic rock sound to the stage July 12. The band. The seven-member ensemble has been together for 20 years, and has opened for country stars like Tim McGraw.

U2 tribute band Joshua Tree, the first of two tribute bands in the series will perform July 19. The Boston-based band pays special tribute to U2's work from the period between 1980 an 1987, which includes U2's album The Joshua Tree, for which the band is named.

The series will wrap up July 26 with Proud Mary, a Tina Turner tribute band. Chantel Steinreich, better known as "Proud Mary," along with her husband and band leader John Steinreich, have been performing together since 1995. The band has performed at various casinos as well as the House of Blues in Hollywood and Disneyland.
