Festival Ballet Theatre Announces Company Dancers for 2011-12 Season

Festival Ballet Theatre is pleased to announce its Company Dancers for the 2011-2012 Season of three productions and one special dance event that take place at The Irvine Barclay Theatre through May 2012.

Returning Company Dancers include Aj Abrams of Long Beach, Tyler Nelson of Los Angeles, Edgar Nikolyan of Los Angeles, and Evan Swenson of Los Angeles. FBT also welcomes back Nicole Vitale of Aliso Viejo. Dancers promoted from FBT II to Company Dancers include Roma Daravi of Huntington Beach, Ashley Ike of Newport Beach, Renee Kester of Seal Beach, and Megan Yamashita of Newport Coast. New to FBT is Tara Ghassemieh of Huntington Beach, Jason Glover of Los Angeles, Arsen Serobian of Los Angeles, and Nathan McGinnis of Portland, Oregon. Company Apprentice is William Geary of Chicago, Illinois.

season began in October with Le Corsaire Suite and Mixed Repertoire. Up next for FBT is the annual production of the beloved holiday classic The Nutcracker (Dec. 10–24). In 2012, the season continues with The Sleeping Beauty (March 24 and 25). Festival Ballet’s season concludes on May 4 with Gala of the Stars, a special invitational dance festival.
