County health inspectors temporarily closed two Fountain Valley restaurants and a
7-Eleven recently after finding cockroaches inside the establishments.
Thai Dishes Restaurant and The Blarney Stone were
closed by county officials on July 29. At the Blarney Stone, inspectors
found several cockroaches on the floor below the bar. At Thai Dishes,
cockroaches were found under the freezer, underneath preparation tables,
under the equipment and several other places inside the restaurant's kitchen area.
7-Eleven, located at 16475 Harbor Blvd., was closed by health
inspectors on July 30. Dead cockroaches were found on the floor near the
coffee and soda machines, and on some of the walls.
Thai Dishes, the Blarney Stone and 7-Eleven each passed a follow-up inspection and reopened a few days later.
