Cockroaches Close Mariscos Los Corales

Cockroaches found near coolers inside Mariscos Los Corales in Fountain Valley forced the restaurant to shut its doors temporarily.

Fountain Valley's Mariscos Los Corales was recently closed temporarily by county health officials after inspectors found cockroaches inside the restaurant.

During a routine inspection on March 12, Mariscos Los Corales was cited with four major health violations, including one for cockroach infestation, and nine minor health violations. According to the health report, inspectors found "numerous German cockroaches of different life stages on the walls and floor next to the 3-door reach-in cooler," among other signs of cockroaches.

Mariscos Los Corales was later allowed to reopen after a follow-up inspection.
