If your children want to hear from Santa Claus this Christmas, take their letters to Crown Ace Hardware in Huntington Beach and Costa Mesa.
The chain of family-run hardware stores has set up special Santa mailboxes at each of its 17 outlets, including the ones at 9045 Adams Ave. in Huntington Beach and 2666 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa. Parents are asked to drop off their childrens' letters, and include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for a return letter from the North Pole.
“The holidays are a special time when we can all be kids at heart," Mark Schulein, the store's president, said. "And this is our chance to connect with our local residents and give back."
Schulein says letters should be dropped off by Wednesday, Dec. 5.
