New City Manager Coming from Huntington Beach

Robert W. Hall, Huntington Beach's current assistant city manager, will begin his new position in Fountain Valley in August.

Fountain Valley conducted a nationwide search to find a new city manager, but the City Council ultimately decided on a candidate from Huntington Beach.

On Tuesday the City Council approved selecting Robert W. Hall, who currently serves as the Assistant City Manager in Huntington Beach, as the new City Manager, the city announced Wednesday.

Hall will begin his new position in Fountain Valley on Aug. 19 and takes over for Raymond Kromer, who retired from his long-time City Manager position in December, officials said.

Hall comes to Fountain Valley with 25 years of municipal governmental experience including executive level positions overseeing economic development, planning, public works, building and safety, information systems, human resources, finance, community services and library services in Huntington Beach. 

Hall holds bachelor of science degree and a master's degree in public administration from Cal State San Bernardino.
