Kids Can Play Harder at Fulton, Courreges Parks

Improved playgrounds include ADA upgrades and designs intended to promote fitness and creativity.

Kids visiting Fulton and Courreges parks should find the playground equipment more accessible and interesting, the city of Fountain Valley says.

Recently completed upgrades include replacement of worn-out equipment and installation of equipment that meets Americans With Disabilities Act standards. Both parks now have accessible rubberized safety surfacing that was installed in fall zones and entry points to the new equipment.

Courreges Park now has a tree-house-themed structure. The city says the design was meant to get children to use their imagination, to increase social interaction with other children and to "simply play." The new structure has slides and climbing apparatus. Adjacent are two swings and a swiveling bucket seat.
