Man Pleads Not Guilty to Pointing Gun at Neighbor

Authorities charged Timothy Khanh Nguyen, 27, of Fountain Valley with stalking and assault with a deadly weapon.

A 27-year-old Fountain Valley man accused of threatening a neighbor with a handgun after an argument, pleaded not guilty last week, court records show.

Timothy Khanh Nguyen entered not guilty pleas on May 24 to felony charges of stalking and assault with a semiautomatic firearm, according to online court records. Nguyen is scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial hearing on July 9.

Nguyen was arrested on May 2 after a monthlong investigation. Police said Nguyen did not fire the gun, but did point it at the neighbor who he was allegedly stalking.

A search of Nguyen's home produced handguns, an SKS assault rifle, a samurai sword, an Airsoft pistol and other weapons, police said.

Nguyen remains in the Orange County Jail.
