May Day: It's Umbrella and Sweater Weather

A Gulf of Alaska storm is expected to bring a few days of rain and chilly temperatures.

No it’s not Groundhog’s Day again – it’s just May masquerading as February for the next few days.

A storm from the Gulf of Alaska has brought  cold weather and rain and snow along with it. The National Weather Service is predicting cold rain locally through Wednesday night. A half-inch up to 1 inch of rain is expected.

The weather service predicts snow levels will lower to 5,000 to 5,500 feet, with as much as a few inches of snow possible over the highest mountains.
