Fountain Valley Man Dies in Motorcycle Versus Truck Crash

A Fountain Valley man has been identified in a deadly crash involving a motorcycle and pick-up truck.

According to the Orange County coroner's office, 20-year-old Francisco Rincon suffered fatal injuries in a crash on Thursday in Santa Ana.

Reports indicate the man was riding his Yamaha R6 motorcycle through the intersection of 1st Street and Olive Street in Santa Ana at 9:51 p.m. when the collision occurred.  The driver in the truck, a Ford-F150, was making a u-turn on First at Olive Street, according to Santa Ana police.

Rincon was taken to nearby Western Medical Center, where he died of his injuries about four hours later, the coroner's office said.

The Santa Ana Police Department is investigating the crash and the truck driver was not immediately cited, pending the outcome of that investigation.
