$20,000 in Jewelry Stolen from Local Home

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

A man reported a $650 RV generator stolen on Petal Avenue near Euclid Street, March 3 at 5:40 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) had cut off the lock connecting the generator to the front of the RV’s tow hitch and had fled the scene undetected.

A woman driving a grey Scion was seen driving recklessly on Heil Avenue and Euclid Street, March 3 at 2:33 p.m. Witnesses reported the woman driving over construction cones and almost hitting a construction worker on the Euclid Street. Police were unable to locate the driver.

A woman reported $20,000 worth of missing jewelry on Mount Jackson Street and Lilac Avenue, March 1 at 11:51 a.m. The woman suspects a former 78-year-old tenant is responsible for the missing items.

A woman is out $3,850 after a check written out to her for a bake sale bounced on Brookhurst Street and Slater Avenue, March 1 at 9:28 a.m.

A woman witnessed her purse being taken from a shopping cart while she was loading groceries into her vehicle at Brookhurst Street and Ellis Avenue in the Ralph’s parking lot, Feb. 27 at 4:49 p.m. A suspect in a vehicle pulled up beside the woman’s parked car, reached out to grab the purse and fled in an unknown direction. The missing property’s value was estimated at $532.
