Air Compressor Reported Stolen from City Construction Site

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

A $10,080 trailer-style air compressor was reported missing from a construction site on Bushard Street near Edinger Avenue, Aug. 5 at 3:48 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) hooked the trailer up to an unknown vehicle and drove off with the property undetected.

A $255 mail package was reported missing from a front porch on Debiois Avenue, Aug. 9 at 6:23 p.m. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.  

Vandalism was reported at the Union 76 gas station on Edinger Avenue, Aug. 7 at 9:58 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used an unknown object to shatter a glass door located on the north-side of the business. Suspect(s) fled undetected, leaving an estimated $200 worth of damage.

Commercial burglary was reported from Mount Wynne Circle on Aug. 7 at 9:55 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used an unknown tool to cut a large tarp off of a metal frame, used by the business for shade. The suspect(s) fled undetected with the tarp, valued at $1,000.  

Two bicycles valued at $300 were reported missing from a residential driveway on Crow Lane, Aug. 6 at 10:28 a.m. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

Two businesses on Harbor Boulevard near Warner Avenue each reported $3,000 worth of copper pipe and miscellaneous parts missing from their air conditioning unit located on the buildings' rooftops, Aug. 5 at 10:30 a.m. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.  

A $1,500 laptop was reported stolen from a parked and locked vehicle on Santa Maria Street, Aug. 5 at 8:16 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by smashing the rear right passenger window and fled undetected, leaving an estimated $300 worth of damage.  

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Santa Elena Street and El Capitan Avenue, Aug. 5 at 8:04 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry through unknown means and fled undetected with an iPod and a radio valued at $450.  

A $500 catalytic converter was reported stolen from a sport utility vehicle parked on Amistad Street, Aug. 4 at 3:50 p.m. Damage to the car was estimated at $250. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.  

Burglary was reported from a residence on El Paso Avenue, Aug. 3 at 5:53 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry through a sliding bathroom window and ransacked the master bedroom before fleeing undetected and leaving an estimated $50 worth of damage.
