Edge was arrested Saturday, when she apparently tried to slam her car-- which had a propane tank inside-- into an electrical vault outside a Costa Mesa store, according to authorities.

When Edge was pulled from the vehicle, she told Costa Mesa police about the children, and Santa Ana officers found the bodies just after 9 a.m. Saturday, Costa Mesa police Sgt. Tim Starn said.

Her 13-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter were in the Hampton Inn & Suites in the 2700 block of Hotel Terrace, near the interchange of the Costa Mesa (55) Freeway at Dyer Road, police said.
