Business Reports $24,100 Stolen in Alleged Invoice Scam

Grand theft from a business was reported March 16 on Magnolia Avenue. A former employee of the business reportedly inflated invoices and kept the difference, resulting in $24,100 in stolen funds.

Residential burglary was reported March 21 on Oak Street. Unknown suspects smashed the window on the kitchen door, forced the door open and stole property valued at $3,300. Property damage was estimated at $1,000.

Residential burglary was reported March 20 on Grackle Avenue. Unknown suspects entered the house through an unlocked door and stole property of undisclosed value.

Theft from  vehicle was reported March 20 on Recreation Circle. Unknown suspects broke the window of a 2001 Ford Expedition and stole property valued at $1,045. Damage to the car was estimated at $200.

Grand theft was reported March 18 on Santa Clara Circle. Unknown suspects entered a 2005 Mazda 6 through an unlocked door and stole electronics and sunglasses valued at $2,421.

Theft from a vehicle was reported March 18 on Slater Avenue. Unknown suspects broke the back window of a 2005 Nissan Sentra and stole a backpack valued at $25. Damage to the car was estimated at $150.

Theft from a vehicle was reported March 16 at an undisclosed business. Unknown suspects broke the rear passenger-side window of a 2001 Subaru Impreza and stole property valued at $165. Damage to the car was estimated at $150.

Theft from a vehicle was reported March 21 on Plumas Court. Unknown suspects smashed the right front window and stole property valued at $185. Damage to the car was estimated at $200.

Commercial burglary was reported March 22 on Harbor Boulevard. Two unknown suspects smashed a glass door and stole $400 in cash. Damage to the door and cash register was estimated at $500.

Theft from a vehicle was reported March 22 on San Bruno Street. Unknown suspects smashed the front passenger window and stole a laptop bag containing property valued at $1,150. Damage to the car was estimated at $200.
