Car Flips on 405, Triggers SigAlert

Three people are injured and three northbound lanes are blocked Monday morning following a multi-vehicle crash.

The north 405 Freeway in Fountain Valley has reopened after a multiple-car crash left three people injured and one overturned vehicle blocking traffic.

The California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert at 8:30 a.m. Monday after several cars crashed just south of Euclid Street, said Officer Denise Quesada. One car was overturned, and the wreckage blocked the carpool lane, the fast lane and the No. 2 lane.

Three people were taken to local hospitals, and one was taken to the UCI Medical Center, a trauma center.
