Marcel Lee Irizarry, 45, tried to flee from police, leading them into Huntington Beach before tripping himself up and being taken into custody.

A Westminster man was arrested April 3 on suspicion of gun and drug charges after fleeing from Fountain Valley Police into Huntington Beach.

Marcel Lee Irizarry, 45, was near the corner of Warner Avenue and Newland Avenue when officers tried to stop his car. According to police, Irizarry refused to stop and led officers on a chase for about a mile until he reached Huntington Beach.

Irizarry and his passenger got out of the car and fled on foot as officers tried to use a TASER on him but missed. Irizarry eventually tripped on the sidewalk and was taken into custody, police said.
