Customer Refuses to Pay for Damaged Gas Hose

A man reported a missing gym bag stolen from locker #23 from a business on Talbert Avenue and Brookhurst Street, Feb. 11 at 1:21 p.m. The man had secured the locker with his personal lock and upon returning to retrieve his belongings, the lock and the gym bag were gone. He said nobody knew of his lock combination nor did anyone have permission to remove his property, worth $242. No suspect(s) were reported.

Three Dell laptops worth $1,900 were reported stolen from a locked office at California Heart Association on Brookhurst Street and Talbert Avenue, Feb. 11 at 11:15 a.m. The woman does not believe any of her employees took the electronics and said the night cleaners and the security guards were the only people to have access to her office after hours. No suspects were seen or heard.

Graffiti was reported on a wall on Edinger Avenue and Mount Akerman Circle, Feb. 11 at 11:19 a.m. “CLUMZE” and “SWC” written by spray paint and investigators were not able to identify any suspects. Property damages were estimated at $500.

A person reported burglary from a residence on Winterberry Street, Feb. 10 at 2:48 p.m. when a resident and a friend walked into the home and heard noises coming out of one of the rooms. The two ran out of the home and shortly after, saw the suspect fleeing and driving off in a blue SUV. The investigation continues and $1,500 worth of missing property was reported.

Vandalism was reported at Bicycle Discovery on Warner Avenue near Magnolia Street, Feb. 10 at 12:49 p.m. when “B2K” was found written on two rear doors of the business with a black marker. The unknown suspect(s) fled undetected. Property damages were estimated at $100.

A woman reported her purse stolen from the front passenger seat of her parked and locked vehicle on Yuba River Avenue, Feb. 10 at 8 a.m. The front passenger window was broken into and the missing purse contained $150 worth of belonging, including credit cards, gift cards, driver's license and social security card. The unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

A person reported witnessing an Arco gas station customer driving off with a gas hose still attached to the vehicle on Brookhurst Street and Slater Avenue, Feb. 5 at 10:23 a.m. The gas hose, belonging to pump #2, suffered internal damages and the customer, allegedly responsible, refused to provide any personal information or pay for the damages.

Arrests
A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing injuries due to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Harbor Boulevard and Heil, Feb. 12 at 12:18 a.m. and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail.

A 70-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Harbor Boulevard and Heil Avenue, Feb. 11 at 9:48 p.m. and was released on a citation.

A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of an unlawful display of vehicle registration on Garfield Avenue and Ward Street, Feb. 10 at 8:34 a.m. and was released on a citation.
