Update: Disabled OC Woman Still Missing

Verta Parker was last seen Tuesday at the Pacifica Royale Assisted Living Community where she lives in Midway City.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department is asking for help to find a disabled woman who went missing from an assisted living community in Midway City this past week.

Verta Parker, 63, was last seen about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at her residence at the Pacifica Royale Assisted Living Community in Midway City, the Orange County Sheriff's Department reported. Parker is disabled and uses a medical walker to get around.

Sheriff's officials say facility workers noticed Parker was missing when they were unable to find her for evening medications. Parker typically goes for short walks near the facility, but usually returns within a couple of hours, officials said.
