A 78-year-old woman was killed and four others injured Tuesday in a Santa Ana collision, police reported.
A Nissan Altima traveling south on Sullivan Street collided with an Infiniti G35 at First Street about 9 a.m., Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.
Witnesses told police the driver of the Altima, a 65-year-old man, ran a red light and struck the Infiniti, which was eastbound on First Street.
The woman who was killed was in the front passenger seat of the Altima, whose driver and other passengers were taken to Western Medical Center and UC Irvine Medical Center, as was the Infiniti's sole occupant, a 22-year-old woman, Bertagna said.
The survivors' injuries were not considered life-threatening, he said.
