A Westminster man and his 20-year-old son were arrested Saturday on suspicion of DUI and hit and run after allegedly crashing their Hummer into a gas pump at a Fountain Valley gas station.
According to police, Michael Sterling Doorbar, 52, and his son, Michael Sterling Doorbar II, 20, were arrested after a witness saw the Hummer crash into the pump, after which the driver and passenger switched places in the car before leaving the scene.
Officers eventually stopped the pair just outside Fountain Valley in Westminster, where both were arrested and brought back to Fountain Valley. Both men had their blood tested before being cited and released. The Hummer was towed away.
