Update: Fountain Valley Man Killed in Car Accident Is Identified
Martin Moreno, 47, was killed when a minivan hit his truck.
A Fountain Valley man was killed and another person was injured in a traffic collision Wednesday night in Garden Grove, police said Thursday.
Martin Moreno, 47, was traveling south on Valley View Street at 8:32 p.m. Wednesday when the Toyota pickup truck he was driving collided with a Honda minivan headed north on Garden Grove Boulevard, said Garden Grove police Investigator Jason Perkins.
Moreno was pronounced dead at the scene, and the minivan driver was injured and taken to a hospital, he said.

The collision occurred on a 405 Freeway overpass, said Marc Stone of the Orange County Fire Authority. A firefighter at the scene told a news photographer that the collision was particularly violent and high speed was likely a factor. The crash was being investigated by Garden Grove police and the Orange County coroner's office, Perkins said.
