During a ceremony Tuesday at City Hall, the Fountain Valley Police Department added one new officer and promoted another to sargeant.
Ten year veteran Mike Parsons was promoted to sargeant, while Gloria Mahan was sworn in as a new officer after transferring from the Los Angeles Police Department.
