Officers from the Fountain Valley Police Department ran their leg Friday of the Special Olympics Torch Run as the torch makes its way to Long Beach for Saturday's Summer Games.
Officers took the torch from Westminster Police officers at the interesection of Magnolia Street and Edinger Avenue about 11:40 a.m., and carried it through Fountain Valley to Huntington Beach, where they handed it off at the corner of Talbert Avenue and Beach Boulevard. From there, Huntington Beach officers will carry the torch to Long Beach, where it will be used to light the Flame of Hope at the opening ceremonies of the Summer Games.
