Four Injured in Alcohol-Related One-Car Accident

Huntington Beach man arrested on suspicion of DUI.

A Huntington Beach man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana after a one-car accident in Fountain Valley that injured the driver and three passengers.

Brenton Kopack, 23, was driving northbound on Mount Langley Street in a Ford Ranger pickup when he failed to negotiate a right turn onto Spencer Avenue, said Fountain Valley police Sgt. Kurt Ulrich. The vehicle containing three passengers was overturned upon police arrival.

All four were transported to a local hospital with serious physical injuries, including lacerations. However, there were no life-threatening injuries, Ulrich said.

Kopack was medically cleared and was booked for felony drunk driving. He is being held at Orange County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
