FVFD Responds to Fatal Fire in HB

A Huntington Beach man, 90, was killed in the blaze.

Fountain Valley firefighters joined the Huntington Beach Fire Department in fighting a fatal fire Thusday night in Huntington Beach.

HBFD investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire, which broke out about 11:30 p.m. Thursday night at Sea Aira Mobile Home park, 6241 Warner Ave. A 90-year-old man, who has yet to be indentified, was killed in the fire.

About 30 firefighters from the Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley fire departments responded to the, which caused minor damage to two neighboring homes, Huntington Beach Deputy Fire Marshal Jeff Lopez said. The blaze was brought under control at 11:53 p.m., but the firefighters continued to attack hot spots in the walls until about 1:15 a.m., Lopez added.
