Multiple Coyote Sightings Reported

Police reports from around Fountain Valley.

Coyote sightings were reported on San Antonio Street near Nightingale Avenue, Oct. 26 at 5:30 a.m., and on Los Jardines West near Warner Avenue, Oct. 28 at 7:08 p.m. The coyote had been spotted with a cat in its mouth in the first incident.

Vandalism was reported at Los Amigos High School on Newhope Street, Oct. 31 at 6:43 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) used black spray paint to write vulgar messages and pictures on multiple areas, including the outside walls of the gym and the girl’s locker room, before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $200.

Identity theft was reported at La Mora Court, Oct. 31 at 11:54 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) obtained the victim’s bank card and account number and made multiple charges totaling $268.31 in Tucson, Ariz.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on Custer Court and Onyx Court, Oct. 28 at 10:47 p.m. While loading and unloading items into a clubhouse at the housing complex, the victim returned to her unsecured vehicle to find her purse missing. Estimated property loss was $810. No suspect(s) were seen or heard.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Mount Baden Powell Street, Oct. 26 at 2:59 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a car stereo valued at $250 before fleeing undetected.
