O.C. Deputy's Guns, Badge, I.D. Stolen

Deputy was off-duty when his vehicle was burglarized in L.A. County.

An off-duty Orange County sheriff's deputy's two possibly loaded Glock handguns, badge and identification were stolen when his personal vehicle was burglarized in a La Mirada parking lot, sheriff's officials said today.

The burglary happened between 7 and 9 p.m. Wednesday at Clearman's North Woods Inn in the 14300 block of Firestone Boulevard, near Valley View Avenue,
Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Frank Rivera of the Norwalk Station said.

The deputy reported the burglary shortly after 9 p.m., Rivera said.

The suspect allegedly took two possibly loaded Glock handguns from inside a black duffel bag in the deputy's car, Rivera said.

No suspect information was available early today.
