Local Singer Receives Harassing Phone Calls

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

A Ten Li Tea & Ginseng Company employee reported a phone valued at $499 stolen from the business on Magnolia Street and Warner Avenue, Feb. 23 at 11:43 a.m. The employee had gone to the back of the store for 15 minutes and when returning to the store front, the phone was missing from the counter. The unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

A woman reported $710 worth of personal property stolen from her locked and parked Toyota Avalon on Magnolia Street and Talbert Avenue near Ms. Fitness, Feb. 22 at 6:54 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the vehicle by breaking the right rear passenger window with an unknown tool to take the woman’s purse. An estimated $300 worth of damages were reported.

A local Vietnamese singer reported 19 unwanted phone calls on Feb. 22 at 2:39 p.m. The known female suspect left several messages between Jan. 8 and Feb. 18, telling the singer that she was going to harass her during club performances. The suspect has since changed her phone number and her whereabouts are unknown.

A white Nissan Titan containing landscaping equipment from Anaheim was reported stolen on La Stella Avenue and Pepper Tree Street, Feb. 22 at 10:08 a.m. The unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

A burglary was reported on Talbert Avenue near Newhope Street at Furniture Outlet, Feb. 22 at 10:05 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the building by breaking the front glass door and selectively took $800 worth of merchandise. An estimated $800 worth of damages were reported.

A coyote was spotted on campus at Plavan Elementary School near Warner Avenue and Bushard Street, Feb. 22 at 7:29 a.m. The coyote was left alone and was last seen going towards the nearby canal.

A man reported personal property worth $445 stolen from his locked and packed vehicle on La Esperanza venue near Greenleaf Street, Feb. 21 at 11:53 p.m. No signs of forced entry were reported and the unknown suspect(s) fled undetected.

A residential attic fire was reported on Quartz Circle and Mount Younis Street, Feb. 21 at 3:28 a.m. Investigators determined the incident to be caused by an electrical problem. There were no reported injuries.

Arrest
A 54-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on La Hacienda Avenue, Feb. 25 at 2:56 p.m. and was released on a citation.
