Local Woman Reports $14,750 Worth of Missing Property

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

A woman reported $14,750 worth of property stolen from her residence on Buttercup Avenue, March 24 at 4:14 p.m. Unknown suspect fled undetected.

A man reported $1,560 worth of property stolen from a Chevy Tahoe on Newhope Street and Talbert Avenue, March 23 at 5 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the vehicle by picking the driver’s side lock and fled undetected with a laptop and gym bag.

An employee from Kentucky Fried Chicken reported vandalism on Brookhurst Street and La Alameda Avenue, March 23 at 11:14 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) broke a new window and try to pry open a door, causing damages estimated at $900. No entry into the business was made and no physical evidence was recovered.

Tail light covers from a Hummer H1 were reported missing on Poinsettia Avenue near Maple Street, March 22 at 5:56 p.m. The owner suspects that they were stolen since the screws, there to secure the covers, were also gone. Costs to repair covers were estimated at $300. No entry into the vehicle was made and no physical evidence was recovered.

A man reported $3,010 worth of property stolen from his residence on Mount Acoma Circle near Stonecress Avenue, March 22 at 4:02 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by breaking a bathroom window, located on the side of the home, and fled undetected with a television set and various electronic equipment. Damages were estimated at $300.

Arrests
A 39-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant on Reimer Street near El Silbido Avenue, March 26 at 3 a.m. and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail.
