Man Arrested After Reportedly Smashing Door at Boys & Girls Club Learning Center

The suspect also allegedly resisted arrest and appeared to be severely intoxicated.

A Cypress man was arrested Sunday morning on suspicion of vandalism, public intoxication and resisting arrest after he allegedly smashed a glass door at the Boys & Girls Club Learning Center in Fountain Valley.

Alexander Klatt, 22, of Cypress, was arrested just before 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, police said. Klatt was contacted by officers a short distance away when a companion called police to the scene, concerned for Klatt’s well being. Klatt appeared to be severely intoxicated and refused to comply with officer’s directions, and resisted arrest even after he was handcuffed, police said.

Klatt was taken to the Orange County Jail. The damage to the center was estimated at $500.
