Man Robs Independence Bank with a Hold-Up Note

A robber held up the bank on Magnolia Street shortly before closing time Friday.

A man armed with a hold-up note robbed the Independence Bank on Magnolia Street shortly before closing time Friday afternoon.

The Fountain Valley Police Department received a call of a robbery at the bank at 18101 Magnolia St. at 4:40 p.m. The suspect entered the bank and gave the teller a hold-up note demanding money, according to police.

The bank teller handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect fled and was last seen running south on Magnolia Street toward Ellis Ave.

The suspect was described as a male about 20-years-old, 5’11”, 180l pounds with dark hair and dark facial hair, wearing a long sleeved black shirt, dark jeans, and a black baseball hat.
