Man Stabbed in Forehead in Fountain Valley Street Fight

A 21-year-old man was arrested for suspicion of felony assault following a fight involving several people that began inside a Fountain Valley home and spilled out into the streets, a police sergeant said this weekend.

Brandon Blanford suffered a knife wound to his forehead during the fight, in the 8900 block of Nightingale Avenue, said Fountain Valley police Sgt. Ted Valle.

Valle said police were dispatched to the scene at 7:48 p.m. Saturday, where Luis Torres, 19, was later arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Torres suffered a broken cheekbone and a laceration to his eyebrow, he said.

Fountain Valley police asked anyone who saw the fight to call them at (714) 593-4465.
