Men Arrested in $200,000 Santa Ana Jewelry Heist (Video)

Now, police are trying to determine if the men may have been part of a larger burglary ring.

Santa Ana police announced the arrests of two men who are allegedly responsible for stealing an estimated $200,000 in jewelry.

The men, identified as 28-year-old Jesus Garfias and 43-year-old Pedro Lugo, are suspected of stealing the jewelry from a multiple businesses at a Westminster Blvd. swap-meet, according to KTLA News.

Now, police are trying to determine if the men may have been part of a larger burglary ring.

"They can take it to these 'buy my gold' places, they melt it down, [or] they can melt the gold down themselves," Cpl. Anthony Bertagna told KTLA.
