Multiple Residential Burglaries Reported

Police reports from around Fountain Valley.

Residential burglary was reported on Daisy Avenue, Dec. 14 at 3:40 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) entered the unlocked rear sliding door and removed a television, a Wii game console, jewelry from a bedroom and more before fleeing undetected. Property loss value remains unknown.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on Jasmine Avenue, Dec. 14 at 8:31 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) removed a $500 tailgate from a pickup truck while it had been parked on a residential driveway. No damage was reported and no witnesses were found.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on Swallow Avenue, Dec. 13 at 3:30 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the back window with an unknown tool and caused $1,000 worth of damage before fleeing undetected.

A $85 bicycle was reported missing from a bike rack at Los Amigos High School on Newhope Street, Dec. 13 at 9:07 a.m. No witnesses were found.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from the guest parking of a housing complex on San Bruno Street, Dec. 12 at 5:58 p.m. The victim returned to her vehicle to find that it would not start. After inspection at a repair shop, the $500 catalytic converter was discovered missing. No witnesses were found.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Ward Street near Holy Spirit Church, Dec. 11 at 7:55 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver's side window and fled with $200 worth of property. Damage was estimated at $300.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from Recreation Center near Brookhurst Street, Dec. 11 at 4:59 p.m. After playing basketball, the victim returned to his car and found his trunk ajar. Upon inspection, a $888.25 laptop was taken from the trunk. The victim believed the suspect(s) could have taken his unattended keys to gain access to his vehicle while he was on the basketball court. No witnesses were found.

Two bicycles worth $429 were reported stolen from a medical center plaza on Euclid Avenue near Newhope Street, Dec. 11 at 3:15 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) had cut the locks and fled undetected.

Residential burglary was reported from La Terraza Avenue, Dec. 8 at 8:28 p.m. Three unknown suspects gained entry by prying open a back door and took $10,000 worth of property. A witness saw the suspects leaving through the side gate. Damage was estimated at $400.

Residential burglary was reported from Redwood Street, Dec. 8 at 8:20 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry by prying open a downstairs bathroom window and took $15,000 worth of jewelry from a bedroom before fleeing undetected.
