Multiple Vehicle Vandalism Incidents Reported

Police reports from around Fountain Valley.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on Lawson River Avenue, Dec. 6  at 11:36 a.m. The vehicle had been left unattended and unlocked for approximately 10 minutes when unknown suspect(s) took a $500 laptop from the rear passenger seat. No witnesses were located.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on Siskin Avenue, Dec. 5 at 12:30 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) broke the driver's side window and spray painted the driver's side panel and the the two driver's side wheels with red paint before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $1,000.

Theft was reported from Shoreline Baptist near Ellis Avenue, Dec. 3 at 8:31 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) broke the passenger window and removed $35 worth of property before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $300.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on Warner Avenue and Brookhurst Street, Dec. 3 at 4:57 p.m. The victim was driving southbound on Brookhurst Street when she heard a loud pop. Upon inspection, the passenger side window, mirror and window were damaged. Police believe that unknown suspect(s) had thrown an amber colored glass bottle, causing it to strike the victim's moving vehicle and causing damage estimated at $1,000.

A $500 catalytic converter was reported stolen from Sterling Court, Dec. 2 at 10:22 a.m. No witnesses were located.

Vehicle vandalism was reported from Talbert Avenue and Foster Street, Dec. 2 at 7:51 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) had cut a pipe  near the catalytic converter causing estimated damage of $100 before fleeing undetected.

Vehicle vandalism was reported from Jade Court and Mount Erebus Court near a California Lottery office, Dec. 2 at 7:45 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver's side window before fleeing undetected. No entry was made and damage was estimated at $100.

Theft from a vehicle was reported from LA Fitness on Talbert Avenue and Brookhurst Street, Nov. 30 at 7:23 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry into the vehicle by cutting the door lock and removed $130 worth of property before fleeing undetected. Damage was estimated at $5.

Theft from a vehicle was reported on Point Reyes Street, Nov. 30 at 6:15 p.m. The vehicle had been running, unlocked and left unattended for approximately five minutes when unknown suspect(s) took $700 worth of property before fleeing undetected.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on El Rey Avenue, Nov. 30 at 7:33 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) kicked a dent in the left rear passenger door before fleeing undetected. Upon inspection, a shoe print was left on the vehicle, but it was not significant enough for police to identity the show brand, design or pattern. Damage was estimated at $400.
