PD Crown Vic Vandalized

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

Laptops valued at $4,300 were reported stolen from Orange County Memorial Medical Center on Talbert Avenue on March 7. The suspect gained unauthorized entry into the office and removed the property by placing the electronics inside a blue recycling receptacle.

A silver beach cruiser valued at $200 was reported stolen from a Maza Circle residence front porch, March 7 at 2:30 p.m.

A woman reported identity theft on Mount Castile Circle, March 7 at 12:07 p.m. when discovering her account number and pin had been used to withdraw money from several ATMs in Garden Grove, Santa Ana and Newport Beach.

A person reported $1,500 worth of electronics stolen from a residence on Warner Avenue near Mount Hope Street, March 5 at 1:41 p.m. Unknown suspect(s) gained entry after breaking the patio sliding glass door with a rock, causing $500 in damages.

Vehicle vandalism was reported on a police issued 1998 Ford Crown Victoria on Harbor Boulevard and Edinger Avenue near Lee's Sandwiches, March 5 at 11:18 a.m. The police officer suspected that the unknown suspect(s) used a key to scratch the three-foot long mark on the vehicle's rear left fender. No suspect(s) were reported. Damages were estimated at $500.

A woman reported personal items valed at $340 missing from a vehicle on Brookhurst Street near 24 Hour Fitness, March 7 at 5:40 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) broke the front passenger window and took a purse and a grocery bag left on the seat. No suspect(s) or witnesses were reported.

A man reported identity theft on La Mora Circle, March 4 at 7:04 p.m. when he received a bill for an unfamiliar credit card. Unknown suspect(s) had opened an account using the man's personal information to make a single purchase of $10,993 at a Sherman Oaks jewelry store on Feb. 14.

Animal Hospital of Fountain Valley reported a broken window on Garfield Avenue and Bushard, March 4 at 7:06 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) used two bricks to smash two large holes in a window located on the northside of the business. Damages were estimated at $900.

A man reported identity theft on Sandpiper Circle when receiving a tax bill addressed to him from a business outside of his employment, March 3 at 4:13 p.m. 

Arrests
A 49-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Magnolia Street and Talbert Avenue, March 5 at 1:50 p.m. and was released on a citation.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant on Warner Avenue and Magnolia Street near Mobil gas station, March 2 at 9:54 a.m. and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail.

A 19-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of underage alcohol possession on Edinger Avenue and Newland Street, March 1 at 10:17 p.m. and was released on a citation.
