A man was arrested for allegedly making counterfeit money and a woman for alleged possession of a controlled substance following a raid of a Cypress motel by Huntington Beach police and U.S. Secret Service agents, a police captain said today.

Salvador Serrano Jr., 40, of Corona and Christine Ann Harrison, 43, of Garden Grove were arrested Thursday by members of the U.S. Secret Service Los Angeles Field Office Electronic Crimes Task Force after they served a federal search warrant, according to Huntington Beach Police Department Capt. Serrano was arrested on a variety of charges including suspicion of production of counterfeit U.S. currency and was being held in federal custody awaiting his arraignment, Stuart said.

Harrison was booked into the Huntington Beach City Jail on possession of a controlled substance, Stuart said.

The task force consists of the Secret Service and a variety of law enforcement agencies throughout Southern California, region, according to Stuart.
