Home Marijuana Farm Raided by Police

The three-room setup in a Fountain Valley house allegedly contained "sophisticated cooling, ventilation, lighting and irrigation systems." One arrest is made.

Apparently, these were no ordinary houseplants.

On Wednesday, Fountain Valley police uncovered a "sophisticated" indoor marijuana farm in a local home, officials said.

After serving a search warrant at 17257 Santa Lucia, officers seized 170 pot plants, 1.25 pounds of marijuana and the equipment allegedly used to cultivate the drug.

Justice America Kaczmarek, 35, was arrested at the scene and booked into the Orange County Jail on suspicion of growing marijuana and possessing it to sell.

Police said three rooms at the residence contained "sophisticated cooling, ventilation, lighting and irrigation systems" to grow pot.
