Police Uncover Pot-Growing Operation in Fountain Valley Neighborhood

Arrested is Kevin Truong, 25, of Anaheim.

Fountain Valley police officers discovered Tuesday a house hiding an indoor marijuana cultivation operation.

Investigators conducted a search at a home in the 10400 block of Circulo de Villa and found 106 marijuana plants at various stages of growth and 20 pounds of dried pot, according to a Fountain Valley Police Department press release.

"Several rooms in the residence were completely converted and dedicated to the growing operation," the release says. "The home was equipped with sophisticated ventilation, lighting, ballasts and irrigation systems, along with processing equipment."

A representative from Southern California Edison examined the power infrastructure and determined the electricity used to power this operation was being stolen, officials said.

One man was arrested at the scene. Kevin Truong, 25, of Anaheim, is suspected of cultivating marijuana and possessing marijuana for sale.
