Quarters Stolen from Gas Station Air Machine

Police briefs from around Fountain Valley.

A man reported $1,798 worth of tools stolen from a locked compartment in his Ford F-350 parked and locked on Columbus Court, Feb. 28 at 12 p.m. The man discovered the items missing when returning to work after the weekend.

A woman reported $800 missing from her purse on Slater Avenue and Ward Street, Feb. 28 at 2:01 a.m. The purse had been hidden in a closet when unknown suspect(s) entered the resident and removed the cash. 

Identity theft was reported when a woman discovered that somebody had tried to rent a storage unit with her personal information on Newhope Street near Coley River Circle, Feb. 27 at 11:22 a.m.

A missing wallet worth $230 was reported stolen at Mile Square Golf Course on Warner Avenue and Ward Street, Feb. 27 at 3:55 p.m. The man had placed his wallet inside a golf bag, placed in a golf cart, which was left unattended for five minutes.

Unauthorized charges of $1,730.54 wwere reported on a woman’s debit card on La Zapatilla Circle, Feb. 25 at 11:38 a.m. The account holder was informed of 17 charges between Jan. 27 and 28 and has since closed her account.

An Air Serv Group employee reported $64.50 worth of quarters stolen from an air machines at a Shell gas station on Warner Avenue near Newland Street, Feb. 25 at 10:33 a.m. Unknown suspect(s) had broken the key locks on several air machines, causing $35 worth of damages, but only gained access to one.

Arrests
A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of interfering with police official business on Santa Isadora Street and Morongo Street, Feb. 28 at 8:21 p.m. and was taken into custody at Orange County Jail. 

A 19-year-old and a 23-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of burglary at Ralphs on Brookhurst Street near Ellis Avenue, Feb. 27 at 4:55 p.m. and were taken into custody at Orange County Jail.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a business permit violation at Déjà Vu Café and Lounge on Euclid Street and Edinger Avenue, Feb. 26 at 8:01 p.m. and was released on a citation.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Brookhurst Street and Garfield Avenue near a dry cleaning business, Feb. 26 at 1:16 p.m. and was released on a citation.
